I started in the oilfield in 1978 busting and repairing down hole rod pumps for one of the major oilfield supply companies. I then moved to field sales and then to store manager. After 7 years I left and went to another supply company doing the same type of work. I stayed at this job for 15 years. In 2000 I started working for Tejas. My first task was to get our ASME certification. I then became the general manager, salesman, and purchasing. I held these positions until 2018. I am currently working for Tejas at our original shop. We are tasked with building non code equipment, selling rebuilt equipment, ASME vessel repairs, and ASME field repairs. This gives me 40 years that I have been able to hang in with this industry and have enjoyed every year.
