WELDER/FITTER COMBO

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Welder/Fitter the main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Lay out, position, align and fit components together using applicable machines, tools and equipment.
  • Bolt, clamp and tack-weld parts to secure them in position for final welding.
  • Set up and weld parts using welding equipment.
  • Maintain sufficient knowledge of geometry, arithmetic, structural design, heat effects and allowances for thickness of metal to project location of holes, cuts and bends from blueprints, written and typed instructions and manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Use hand tools and be able to correctly setup and operate applicable shop machines.
  • Perform arc and oxy-acetylene welding, cutting and brazing on various ferrous and nonferrous metals, in accordance with established methods and procedures.
  • Maintain production documentation per required procedure.
  • Perform fit up and welding on various types of equipment per different drawings and/or management instructions
  • Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
  • Comply with all TEJAS Company and HSE policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATION:

  • Minimum 3 yr. experience in related field (Weld Shop/Fab Shop).
  • Experience with Weld Procedures; ability to read and comprehend.
  • Basic knowledge of computer programs, ability to navigate.
  • Fluent in English (Read/Write)
  • Possess the desire to learn and develop, under the direction of the Weld Shop Manager, and move upward into a Lead role.
  • Willing to train and share knowledge with other employees.
  • Willing to work overtime & changing work schedules, based on workload.
  • Able to pass a welding test.

FITTER

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Welder/Fitter the main responsibilities of this role include:Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately perform work
  • Perform cutting, laying out, fitting & tacking on ASME vessels and pipes.
  • Cut, thread, hammer pipes according to pipe system specifications
  • Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION:

  • Experience with ASME Specifications
  • Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea
  • High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, proficient in oral and written communications

ASME CODE WELDER

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately fabricate pressure vessels
  • Basic hand tool use required
  • Perform quality work checks to insure the product meets quality standards
  • Rework and/or repair welded structures according to engineering specification changes
  • Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION:

  • Minimum 2 years welding experience may be required
  • Able to pass a 6G pipe 2inch double X pipe welding test with GMAW and FCAW
  • Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions
  • Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
  • Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem and to think in such a way as to produce a new concept or idea
  • High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, proficient in oral and written communications

MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Read and interpret assembly drawings, procedures and follow written and oral instructions
  • Identify components and use pertinent hand tools and rework techniques, operate assembly equipment and tools, dimension and set tolerances of mechanical parts and assemblies
  • Test assembled products
    Create labor records for all transactions
    Document records of work performed
    Perform daily 5S activities and participate in lean manufacturing projects
  • Wear PPE at all times and observe health, safety and environmental policies
  • Accurately assemble all products without assistance
  • Accurately test all products without assistance
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with repetitive products
    Select correct tools and fixtures without assistance
  • Perform at an average of 85% – 95% efficiency or better
  • Initiate action and communicate with manufacturing support personnel
  • Train other assemblers in proper operating methods and procedures
  • Provide leadership and be influential in quality, on-time delivery, safety and cost

I&E

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plans, updates, and oversees all activities within his or her areas of responsibility according to the laws, regulations, standards, specifications, and procedures. Special emphasis must be placed on health, safety, and the environment
  • Supports and encourages team effort between operations, engineering, and projects groups
  • Provides input and reviews the control specifications and work practices
  • Attends and instructs (as needed) technical meetings, to keep instrument technicians informed of the latest specifications, codes, procedures, and technology
  • Provides technical support to other Technicians for maintenance and troubleshooting on company’s instrument systems

QUALIFICATION:

  • Higher operational and maintenance understanding of instrumentation, controls, control systems, safety systems, and electrical equipment
  • Must be able to perform duties with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to communicate, and work with other personnel, departments, and outside officials.
  • Read and decipher electrical and control drawings.
  • Perform installation instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow, and level transmitters.
  • Perform installation of electrical motors, switch gear, transformers, circuit breakers, and all other site electrical equipment, voltages range from 24 VDC through 138 KVA.
  • Understand the principals of flow, level, temperature, and pressure measurement and control.
  • Level 3 requires a minimum of 0 – 2 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience
  • Level 2 requires a minimum of 2 – 4 years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience
  • Level 1 requires a minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience in a midstream operations role or equivalent work experience
  • Detailed knowledge of reading and analyzing ladder diagrams, motor controls and P&IDs
  • Demonstrate knowledge of electronics and electrical theory.
